Roasted Coffee

Sipi Falls

Sipi Falls

Back for another year!  Just about everyone who had this coffee last year enjoyed it immensely, and we were lucky enough to secure it again this year.

This coffee comes from the eastern border of Uganda and Kenya, growing on the northern slopes of Mount Elgon.  About 85% of the coffee grown in Uganda is robusta, and it is just starting to find its way in the specialty area.  The country is also the the leading exporter by volume in all of Africa, (Ethiopia produces more coffee, but exports less).  The export company, Kawacom, has built the Sipi Falls mill to help increase coffee quality in the region.

The main cultivars, Blue Mountain, SL14 and SL28, combine to make a super fruity, juicy, round cup that is very enjoyable by just about every palette.

This coffee was grown and produced without synthetic fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides or fungicides, and is actually certified organic.
