Introducing our first-ever offering from Ecuador! Cultivated by Servio González at Finca Clara Luz alongside crops of lemons, oranges, papayas, bananas, and yuca that he grows to help deal with the high labor costs in Ecuador. This deliciously clean cup is not to be missed!
Servio's focus on quality is evident in our current offering and supported by his achievements. He was awarded 2nd place in the 2018 Gold Cup and 5th place in the 2019 Best of Loja competition.

Clara Luz is a small 20-acre farm with lots of natural forests and a wide selection of other fruits and vegetables. After meticulous handpicking to ensure cherries have over a 20 Brix measurement, they are washed and floated to remove less dense cherries and broken beans before being hand-sorted again. After fermenting for twelve hours the beans are de-pulped and fermented in water for another fifteen hours to remove the rest of the sticky mucilage. After this second fermentation, the beans are taken to raised beds with a combination of sun and shade to get the moisture content down to 11% over 15 days. This meticulous washing process brings out the cleanest representation possible of this coffee.
